Starvation is caused by many problems in Africa, one being drought
Africa has suffered bad weather conditions, a lack of rainfall, and bad irrigation, leading to terrible growing conditions and farmers are unable to grow and maintain crops [Africa Starvation in 1991]
Africa holds a relatively weak governmental structure
The government has not successed in aiding the millions of people who are hungry and have dieseases because of destroyed and ruined economies and poverty
Africa has another social issue of societal hunger and starvation.
There are millions in Africa on the brink of starvation.
This problem has grown to an estimated number of two hundred million people that suffer.
There are 2.9 million deaths per year in Africa that is hunger-related.
Among these statistics most of the population that is hunger ridden are young children who do not get sufficient food with the proper nutritional values needed for their growing bodies or just not enough food in general.
All of these situations leave the people in Africa extremely desperate for aid and support from other developed countries.
A prime example would be a country that is well developed and economically stable and strong: the US.
The US has come across three possible solutions:
To export aid and food directly to the starving people of Africa .
To provide money and funding for African health services and institutions.
Provide genetically modified food seeds or products to farmers in Africa.
